Project Steeplechase

This project featured several suspended concrete properties around the house. It was located in rough terrain with unfinished landscaping. The Splenda Concrete Design crew meticulously measured and built forms, installed rebar and poured concrete for a clean finish on this suspended concrete project.

Preparation and forming

Some key considerations:

    • Structural Support: Ensure that temporary shoring or bracing is in place to support the weight of the concrete as it cures. This is critical to prevent any undue stress on the wood framing.
    • Coordination with Trades: Synchronize with other trade teams to incorporate any necessary penetrations or embeds in the concrete before pouring. This avoids potential compromises later in the construction process.
    • Precision in Execution: Accuracy is vital when positioning formwork and rebar, as any errors can compromise the slab’s integrity and affect the luxury finish expected in a Steeplechase residence.
    • Timing: Carefully schedule the pour to align with optimal weather conditions and ensure that curing processes are not rushed, preserving the quality and strength of the concrete.
